This week, we're featuring some fantastic fine wines, vintage ports and spirits from Bid For Wine's latest auction. Whether it's field-blended wines from 69 year old vines or a Dom Perignon 1992 sparkling white wine, there's something for everyone this week.
First up is this Dom Perignon, Rose, 1995 acquired via a retail champagne lover. This wine features a youthful fruit and broad texture, and is the perfect classic wine to add to the collection or to bring out on a special occasion.
This bottle of Laurent Perrier, Grand Sicele made it into this week's list due to its stunning blend of several vintages. It's beautifully elegant, fresh, and possesses a smooth style. Featuring glorious fine bubbles and a slight nuttiness, this sparkling wine is a sophisticated experience all-round.
This field-blend wine was produced in vines that are over 69 years old. The wine itself however is still quite young, showing serious structure and dark tannins. Due to its blend it is well balanced. The wood flavors and spice contrasting with rich fruits are simply sublime, which is why it's one of our top picks this week.
Next up we have another selection from Dom Perignon. This time, we have a 1992 sparkling white wine. This wine made this weeks list for its sweetness on the palate and bouqet of red berries, grapefruit and tangerine. In our eyes, this is a lovely wine to add to your collection.
We finish this weeks selection with a collection of vintage ports from the Quinta do Crasto winery out in portugal. These ports feature a fragrance of pure dark fruit accompanied with a light/wild herbal note, which leads on to a more floral taste in the glass with a fruitful character.
