This week we're highlighting some of the best lots from the Ewbank's Interiors & Modern Design Sale. It took place 26th January 2023, 9:30am and was powered by Auction Marketer. Read on to learn what the best lots from the auctions sold for featuring some excellent hammer prices.
In this auction Niels Otto Moller for JJ Moller presents a beautiful and unique set of six Model 75 teak dining chairs, with paper corn woven seats. The chairs are 76cm high, and come together with a teak extending dining table, with three central leaves that sits at 74cm high x 115cm diameter and can be extended 265cm wide.
This original British piece of pottery by Quentin Bell (1910-1996) for the Fulham Pottery shows a Fish painted on earthenware. It's signed to the back, 'Quentin Bell Fulham Pottery'. The plate is 23.5cm diameter and offers a unique lot selling at much higher than estimated.
This Interiors & Modern Design Auction showcased this pair of Porta Romana 'Pioche' lamps, standing at 67cm high including fittings, with shades. This lot is interesting and unique, perfect for those interested in interior design. Selling higher than the estimate at £845.
This unique and standout British Quentin Bell (1910-1996) plate for the Fulham Pottery features a girl in a white dress. It is signed to the back, 'Quentin Bell Fulham Pottery' with impressed marks to the base, with painted earthenware. The plate is 21.5 cm diameter and a popular lot selling for much higher than the estimate.
The next featured lot in the Interiors & Modern Design Auction is this incredibly unique and eye catching chair by Philippe Starck (French, b. 1949) for Disform. The Miss Dorm chair was designed in 1982 and sits at 71cm high. The chair was popular at auction and sold at £806.
